CITVC Concluded Several Cooperation Intentions with Sri Lanka Delegation
In the morning of September 11, Tang Shiding, the vice president of China International Television Corporation has met with Sri Lanka Delegation and reached corresponding cooperative intention with them. The Delegation was led by Jayantha Caruna Tilak, leader of United National Party of Sri Lanka together with the members of Saman Asadahiti, president of Sri Lanka National TV Corporation and Sunil Jayaratne, professor of Colombo University, etc.
Both parties have reviewed the communication results in economy and culture fields between Sri Lanka and China, and felt full of confidence in strengthening friendly and cooperative relationship in the future. Vice President Tang Shiding has introduced the development achievements of “Silk Road International Cooperation Community (hereinafter referred to as “Community”) in recent one year since its establishment; at present, the Community from 67 media members in 41 countries and regions have conducted good cooperation in respect of program transaction, program broadcast, international cooperation and operations of China programs in overseas channel or timing interval.
Vice President Tang Shiding has invited Sri Lanka National TV Corporation to join Silk Road International Cooperation Community and attend 2nd Session of Community Summit and China International Film and TV Show held in Beijing in December this year. Guests from Sri Lanka have expressed their thanks and greatly accepted such invitation. Besides, both parties have also reached the consensus on reinforcing cultural exchanges on film and TV and looked forward to broadcasting more excellent Chinese programs to Sri Lanka; finally, they have concluded the preliminary idea on commonly programming Marine Silk Road and setting up show time for Chinese programs in Sri Lanka channel so as to further promote mutual cooperation.
